Child Support Services

Kids on a swing The Child Support Services (CSS) Division of the Weld County Department of Human Services provides help to parents and anyone caring for a child. CSS can help locate parents, establish paternity, establish a child support order and enforce child support obligations. We understand that families need support on a regular basis to remain self-sufficient.

There are four options for obtaining a child Support Services application.

Establishing Paternity

Establishing paternity is the process for determining a child’s legal father.

Establishing Support Orders

The Child Support Unit can help establish an Order to pay child support in one of two ways.

Support Payments

You can contact the Family Support Registry (FSR) at 1 (800) 374-6558 or go online to Smart E-Pay to change from receiving your child support.

Finding a Non-custodial Parent

Sometimes you are unable to establish or enforce a support order because you do not know where a parent lives. Weld County CSS can try to locate them.
