Description:  As the workforce continues to evolve, more and more companies are recognizing the value of hiring older workers. In this seminar, we will explore the many benefits of hiring people 50 years old and older, including their experience, work ethic, and commitment to quality. We will discuss the importance of creating an inclusive workplace culture that values all employees, regardless of age.

Bio: Bethany Lanphere is the Career and Workforce Development Librarian for High Plains Library District’s LINC Library Innovation Center.  Bethany provides personalized career services to patrons, offering guidance on job search processes, interviewing, resume and cover letter writing, and other facets of career planning. She also develops and delivers relevant, outcomes-driven technology instruction aimed at building foundational digital skills.  She received her Master of Library Science from Emporia State University and a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
