Cash Assistance

Welcome to the Weld County Department of Human Services Cash Assistance Programs page. We are committed to supporting individuals and families in need with a variety of assistance programs designed to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

Our Colorado Works (TANF) program provides cash assistance to eligible families, helping them meet basic needs and supporting their journey toward long-term self-sufficiency through work-related education and training opportunities.

In addition, we offer other vital programs:

Home Care Allowance: Financial assistance for individuals who need help with daily living activities but wish to remain in their own homes, supporting them with personal care and other essential services.

Old Age Pension (OAP): Cash assistance for elderly individuals who meet certain age and income requirements, helping them maintain financial independence during their retirement years.

State Aid to the Needy Disabled (SAND): Provides financial assistance to individuals with disabilities who are unable to work, helping them meet their basic needs while connecting them to additional services and resources.

Our programs aim to help individuals and families navigate temporary challenges and work toward a stable, independent future. Whether you need help with cash assistance, home care, or support for aging or disabled loved ones, we are here to connect you with the resources you need.
