Health & Wellness
Weld County is proud to offer employees medical, dental and vision plans. We have a plan that fits your families health needs. We also offer a variety of wellness services and resources. Visit the employee medical clinic for one-stop, convenient care when seeing your primary care physician might not be an option.
Take advantage of the challenges, activities and support our Wellness Program provides to help you reach your health and wellness goals. Mental Health support is pivotal to our workplace culture - that's why we partner with IOME to offer wellness support services. We also have a robust life insurance package, flexible spending accounts and voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.
Medical Plans*
Weld County offers employees the choice between two plans - each provide the same coverage - Standard PPO Plan(PDF, 1MB) and High Deductible PPO Plan(PDF, 1MB) with a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). The second plan gives $1,000 per year to employees on this plan to offset a high deductible and is pro-rated depending on benefit effective date. The money can be rolled over annually for a maximum of $3,000. To make sure that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions for you and your family, the law requires Weld County Government to provide you with notice of certain legal rights that you may have and legal obligations that apply to the Weld County Government Welfare Benefit Plan.
Vision & Dental*
Employees may choose from three dental plans and two vision plans. Employees do not have to be on a medical plan if they want to be on a vision plan; however, employees must be on a dental plan if they are on a medical plan.
