Transportation Planning

The Transportation Planning Division is responsible for developing the County’s Transportation Master Plan, assists in developing the capital improvement project priority list, develop and maintain access control plans, and coordinate with regional agencies regarding transportation. The team works closely with the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the Colorado Department on Transportation, and the thirty-two municipalities in Weld County to improve transportation in the County.

Weld County Safety Action Plan

With the Weld County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan now completed, Weld County continues to advance efforts to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injury crashes.

Weld County 2050 Transportation Master Plan

The Weld County 2050 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is currently being developed. The TMP informs the planning and development of the department's projects and priorities.

Functional Classification

This map classifies unincorporated Weld County roads to identify the width of future right of way.
