Weld County Administration Building (1150 O Street, Greeley)

Call to Order. Committee Nicholas Wharton called the meeting to order at 3:07 p.m. Other committee members present were Dean Moyer, Cheryl Powell, Janet Meisel-Burns, Jodi Hartmann and AJ Euckert. A quorum was present.
Review of the minutes. Committee Chair Wharton asked for a review of the January 7,2026 meeting minutes and if there were any amendments. Seeing none, Committee Member Powell made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and was seconded by Committee Member Meisel-Burns. The motion was unanimously approved.
Status report on current projects (see spreadsheet). Ms. Martin gave an update on the current project list.
Ms. Martin updated the Committee on the status of applications for 2026 grant funding. Seven grant applications were submitted and all were eligible for funding. There is a good mix of proposed projects including public service, home rehabilitation and improvements to infrastructure and public facilities projects. Ms. Martin met with grant applicants during the month of January resulting in three applicants updating their applications. In other business, Ms. Martin reminded the Committee that the grant applicants will present their proposed projects at their regularly scheduled March 4^th starting at 3:00 pm. This will be an in-person meeting in the Events Room of the Weld County Administration Building but there will be an option to join virtually. Ms. Martin distributed copies of the County Roots newsletter featuring the CDBG-funded Brigit’s Village project.
The CDBG Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
