November 6, 2024 Minutes

Pierce Senior Center (221 W. Main Avenue, Pierce CO 80650)

Call to Order. Committee Chair Wharton called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m. Committee members present were AJ Krieger, Jodi Hartmann, Cheryl Powell, Dean Moyer, and Janet Meisel-Burns. A quorum was present.
Review of the minutes. Committee Chair Wharton asked for a review of the August 7^, 2024, meeting minutes and if there were any amendments. Seeing none, Committee Member Powell made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and was seconded by Committee Member Hartmann. The motion was unanimously approved.
Status report on current projects (see spreadsheet). Ms. Martin gave an update on the current project list.
Other business items to discuss: Staff also updated the Committee that Elizabeth and Cynthia moved offices to the Finance Department, so the next Advisory Committee meeting will be in the Administrative Building (1150 O Street, Greeley) in the accounting conference room.
- Staff reminded the Committee that Debbie Lewis-DeMille resigned from the Committee and her term ended 11/1/2024. We have opened the application process to try and find another nonprofit representative.
- The Committee discussed the Weld County Housing Authority (WCHA) and the retirement of Tom Teixeira. The future of the WCHA is being discussed and staff will keep the Committee informed.
- Next meeting December 4, 2024 - The Committee agreed to cancel the December meeting.
The CDBG Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 3:47 p.m.
The Advisory Committee received a tour of the Pierce Senior Center CDBG project.
