Weld County Government is committed to the responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence ("AI") to improve services for residents. AI may be used as a tool to assist with certain government operations, but all final decisions affecting residents remain subject to human oversight and review.
If AI is used in a decision that affects a resident, Weld County will provide notice, explain the role of AI in that decision, and provide the opportunity to correct errors or request human review, in accordance with Colorado law (Senate Bill 24-205).
Weld County does not use AI systems to make decisions based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, veteran status, or any other classification protected under state or federal law.
Nothing in this notice creates or expands any legal rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
