2026 marks three big milestones — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, 150th anniversary of Colorado's establishment, and 165th anniversary of Weld County's establishment. See information on each commemoration and how to get involved.
For domestic (dog, cat, or ferret) animal bites to a human, call your local animal control agency (police department).
For injured or sick wildlife on your property, contact your local Colorado Parks and Wildlife office.
For exposures of people or pets to wildlife (bats, raccoons, skunks, etc.) call the Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment at (970) 400-2290.
Please note that normal behaving and healthy animals that have not had contact with people or pets should not be reported.
