Hantavirus is spread through contact with rodent feces, urine, or saliva. It can spread by inhaling airborne droplets, touching contaminated surfaces then touching your face, eating contaminated food, or rodent bites. In Weld County, Hantavirus is mainly spread by deer mice but can be found in other rodents.
