Restaurant Inspections

Restaurant Inspection Our mission is to protect the health of all food service customers. This page shares information meant to assist the public in being a well-informed food service consumer.

Inspection Information

The county is excited to bring a new inspection platform to residents. This platform aligns with how other Colorado counties report inspection results, which we hope provides consistency and a better user experience for the public.

For inspections occurring Oct. 16, 2023, to date, please go to inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/weldcounty.

As recent inspections are entered in to the new system, we realize there may be a need or desire to access previous inspection results, which is why the old database will remain accessible to the public through 2024.

For inspections before Oct. 16, 2023, please go to apps.weld.gov/health/decade/

Keep in mind any inspection report is a "snapshot" of the day and time of the inspection. On any given day, a restaurant could have fewer or more violations than noted in the report. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection, violations are recorded but often are corrected on the spot prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.

Frequency

Restaurants are normally scheduled for one to three inspections per year, depending on the complexity of the menu, how much food is made from raw products, how much food is made in advance rather than cooked-to-order, whether there has been a suspected or confirmed food-borne illness outbreak or enforcement action, and if the restaurant serves a highly susceptible population.
