Health Inspection Programs

The focus of health inspection programs is the safe and healthy operation of child care centers, body art facilities, schools, and ambulance services. Regular inspections to ensure compliance with state and county regulations are a major part of the program. The programs also investigate complaints and provide informational resources to improve operation of facilities.

Body Art, Tattoos, and Piercings

All tattoo and body piercing facilities, including permanent make-up studios, undergo annual licensing and inspection. Investigations also take place in response to complaints, reports of suspected disease, etc.

Child Care Centers

Child care centers in Weld County are inspected biannually to ensure compliance with the Rules and Regulations Governing the Sanitation of Child Care Centers in the State of Colorado. Complaints related to child care centers also are investigated.

Schools

The Environmental Health Services Division is responsible for the inspection of schools to ensure compliance with the Rules and Regulation Governing Schools in the State of Colorado. Complaints related to school facilities are also investigated.
