FAQ: Electronic Waste Recycling Collection Event

When and where are the collection events?

  • Severance: Saturday, July 26  from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Severance High School 1200 Hidden Valley Pkwy
  • Greeley Area: Saturday, August 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Island Grove Grandstand Arena, East Parking Lot, 501 North 14th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631

  • What if I cannot make it to either of these dates/locations?
    • Unfortunately, these are the only two free events that are being offered at this time. You can find an electronics recycler on the CDPHE website or call the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste Hotline at (970) 400-2233 for assistance finding a suitable location for electronic waste disposal.

  • How do I sign up?
    • You can sign up for either event on the Electronic Waste Collection Event appointments webpage:

    • Reservations are encouraged as space is limited with 600 vehicles able to be serviced at each event.

  • What if I am unable to pick my desired timeslot?
    • In order to help control traffic, incoming material, and staffing needs, we ask that you find an open slot and sign up when there is availability.

  • What if all the timeslots are full?
    • If you are in the area and notice a short line or no line, then your electronic waste can still be dropped off. However, if we are experiencing long lines, we may ask those without a reservation to pull out of line and wait until those with reservations are serviced first. Additionally, if you notice long lines and you do not have a reservation, please come back at another time.
