Water Quality Testing

The laboratory provides microbiology and chemistry analyses for drinking water and wastewater. The laboratory is certified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for drinking water and supports the Water Quality Control Division (WQCD) in implementing federal and state water quality control programs. 

The laboratory provides water quality testing services for private wells, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and public water systems. Other water sources may be tested. For more information or assistance, please call the laboratory at (970) 400-2276.

The laboratory also provides a free Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) screen for Weld County residents whose main source of drinking water is well water and have water quality concerns related to oil and gas activity. Weld County residents may have their well tested every six months at no charge. To participate in the free program, a Notice of Public Disclosure Form(PDF, 243KB) must be completed.
