Engagement in extracurricular activities is an important protective factor to reduce the chances of young people participating in risky behaviors. RELATE strives to collaborate with youth-serving community partners to offer and promote opportunities that foster positive youth development, connectedness, and healthy relationships.

naviGATE is a service-learning project where high school students help prepare elementary students for the transition into middle school. The club is based on the Positive Youth Development framework that provides an intentional, prosocial, strengths-based approach. The ultimate outcome of naviGATE is to support a successful transition into middle school through connections, character, and competencies while providing a leadership opportunity for older youth.
