To meet the growing and diverse needs of our community, Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment launched the Public Health Mobile Unit in 2025. The idea for a mobile health service was born out of a clear need: many residents in rural areas and underserved neighborhoods face barriers to accessing essential care. Over the past year, our team has worked diligently to plan, design, and equip a mobile unit that brings services directly to the community.
The unit is designed to serve as a mobile extension of our public health clinics, increasing access to preventative care, health education, and outreach for populations that might otherwise go without. The launch of this unit reflects our commitment to delivering equitable care and meeting residents where they are.
Whether it's offering vaccinations, STI testing, maternal and child health services, or health screenings, our Mobile Unit is a flexible, responsive tool that allows us to be more present, more connected, and more impactful across Weld County.
