  3. Program:

    • What Ails Ya

      • What Ails Ya is a non-profit organization deeply rooted in ensuring that all senior citizens receive the best healthcare services tailored to meet their individual ages and stages. It provides compassionate guidance and interventions that enable the clients to live comfortably in the safety of their own home.
      • All proceeds go towards funding the mission to educate and empower seniors and their families with aging in place. Financial assistance for medical equipment and home environment modifications that help clients maximize their independence and thrive in the comfort of their home are also provided. Provides live stream events on YouTube for questions on Safety, Mindfulness, tips & tricks for daily living.
    • Q: Staff Member Roper – Can items be purchased through insurance or an HSA?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Because items are 2nd hand, most insurance companies won’t approve but could possibly use an HSA.
    • Q: Staff Member Roper – How far do you travel to deliver or pick up medical equipment?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Currently due to other obligations, the areas include from Wellington to Loveland and Evans to Ault. May expand later as business needs grow.
    • Q: Member Leitel – How is the organization reimbursed?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Currently just private pay. Because the organization is non-profit and the equipment is donated, items are offered at a small markup which includes picking up the item, making sure it is in working condition, delivery and education.
    • Q: Chair Haffner – How does someone get in touch or find out information about the organization?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Can call directly or reach out through the Facebook page to make a service call. Currently looking at ways to service people at different income levels with a sliding scale for service calls.
    • Q: Staff Member Roper – Is there a warranty if repairs are needed?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Because items are secondhand, there is no warranty. Some items can be fixed but others would be cheaper to replace.
    • Q: Commissioner Peppler – Thank you for keeping these items out of the landfill.
      • A: What Ails Ya – Found so many items in great condition that were being put out by the trash at nursing homes or assisted living facilities after someone passed or moved out.
    • Q: Member Collins – Does the organization take direct donations?
      • A: What Ails Ya – Absolutely and a donation receipt is given.
    • Q: Member Cure – The VFW and American Legion have a lot of items, have you partnered with them?
      • A: What Ails Ya – No, but will reach out.
  4. Committee Reports

    • Nutrition:

      • Staff Member Skoglund – The meal program is a part of a pilot program with the state on tracking special events that happen at each meal site.
