In October 2023, the Humane Society of Weld County faced a major change as it transferred under the control of the Larimer Humane Society. To ensure smooth operations, Larimer Human Society needed to quickly hire over 20 staff members in Weld County. The organization reached out to Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) for help in June 2023. Members of the ESWC Business Services team quickly integrated Larimer Humane Society into ESWC's services, connecting them with local programs and facilitating their participation in multiple job fairs. Over the six job fairs and hiring events Larimer participated in, the organization interviewed 59 candidates, made 33 job offers, and hired 21 individuals. These events not only filled key positions but also streamlined the interview process for candidates who had applied directly. This collaboration between Weld and Larimer Counties highlights the power of teamwork and cross-county cooperation in supporting job seekers and businesses in Northern Colorado. The Larimer Humane Society expressed deep gratitude for ESWC’s flexibility, initiative, and support, noting that their success in the transition was made possible by this outstanding partnership. The organization rebranded to NOCO Humane to reflect this integration.
