Weld County Mineral Leasing

Weld County owns mineral rights for approximately forty thousand (40,000) net acres. The Board of County Commissioners has adopted a mineral leasing policy as detailed in Section 2-2-70 of the Weld County Code. For oil and gas leasing questions, please contact the Oil and Gas Energy Department at (970) 400-3580 or ctb-oilandgasleasing@weld.gov or to nominate a tract for auction and lease please use the Mineral Lease Nomination Form below.

Weld County will be hosting their first virtual auction this November.

Approximately 1,600 acres to be offered for lease, through Efficient Markets online platform.
