Ordinance 2025-11 - Miscellaneous revisions to Chapter 23, Zoning

Weld County is considering an ordinance with various changes to Chapter 23, Zoning, of the Weld County Code.  County zoning only applies outside of cities and towns.  The ordinance mainly deals with commercial vehicles, trucking companies, and home businesses, but also contains other miscellaneous revisions to Chapter 23.  Please see the Staff Report(PDF, 105KB)  for the Planning Commission hearing on September 2, 2025.  The Ordinance will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners on September 15, 2025, September 29, 2025 and October 13, 2025, at its regular 9:00 a.m. meetings (subject to change).  If you would like a copy of the Draft Ordinance, please contact Jim Flesher, Long Range Planner, at jflesher@weld.gov or (970) 400-3552.

Ordinance 2025-08 – Miscellaneous revisions to Chapter 23, Zoning, and Chapter 24, Subdivisions

The Board of County Commissioners has adopted an ordinance to make changes to Chapters 23 and 24, to update several definitions, delete three unused definitions, update references, make some minor changes to requirements for Change of Zone and Use by Special Review maps, and make other minor changes of a technical nature. The only change to Chapter 24 is to the definition of “subdivision or subdivided land” relating to situations where the County acquires road right-of-way through a property, splitting the property into two separate, legal lots.
