Thank you to everyone who applied to participate in Weld County’s first-ever citizens’ academy! We are excited to announce we have filled our first academy with 20 residents, which was our goal.
The purpose of this academy is to provide an opportunity for county government to build stronger relationships with the public, increase knowledge about the programs and services it provides, and receive feedback from participants on topics of interest, areas of concern, and suggestions the public may have regarding county programs.
We will be sharing progress of the program and a recap of the academy here as well as on social media, and we invite you to follow along.
As this is our first academy, we expect to learn as much from the attendees as we hope they learn from us. If all goes well, we will look at making this opportunity a regular annual program of the county.
