5/9 to 5/9: Colorado Air Quality Awareness Week
In Weld County, the Department of Public Health and Environment is highlighting how air quality affects residents’ health and everyday lives, along with the environment. The Weld County Air Quality Program is partnering with LINC and Fort Lupton libraries to share resources, tips and activities that help residents understand and improve local air quality. The Weld County Department of Public Works maintains and improves the county’s transportation infrastructure, which includes roads, bridges and culverts. Learn about high blood pressure during High Blood Pressure Education Month
May is High Blood Pressure Education Month and a good time to have your blood pressure checked to know what it means for your health. High blood pressure often has no symptoms but is a leading risk factor for heart disease. According to the last Weld County Community Health Survey, 29% of residents reported having high blood pressure.
