County Roots Branches Out

Weld County's award-winning newsletter, County Roots, is branching out!

While we enjoy providing an emailed newsletter every other week to our subscribers, we know not everyone has time to read these articles online. That's why we are now piloting two new audio projects under the County Roots program.

For those who like the online version of the newsletter, don't worry - that's not going away. In fact, it is the basis for a new audio narration of the newsletter and an AI-generated podcast using County Roots stories as the source.

Recording a podcast takes time and equipment (which costs money). Staying true to the Weld County philosophy of fiscal conservatism, the communications team set out to see if AI could save the county both time and money, while providing a useful product that met the standard and professionalism to which the team holds itself.
