Please join us on October 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., for our 2nd annual State of the County event and learn how local government is working to lead with responsive, innovative and cost-effective services for county residents.

From the announcement of a new judicial center to investments in our regional airport to our award-winning programs aimed at better serving residents, 2025 is an exciting year for Weld County! 

Exciting and government in the same sentence? It's true, and we want to share with you what the county is working on and why you — our residents — should care.

  • Interested in learning how the look of downtown Greeley will change during the next decade with the addition of new county buildings?
  • Did you know Weld County fights noxious weeds with drones (we'll have a few on-site to show attendees)?
  • Want to see what a mobile health clinic looks like and why it makes sense for a county 4,000 square miles in size?
  • Curious to know which county departments have received national recognition this year and why?
  • Want to see a Triceratops skull up close?

Mark your calendars and join us for this great event! And while RSVPs aren't required, they are appreciated so we can make sure we have enough refreshments for everyone!

The evening starts with our first Touch-A-Truck event from 5 to 5:45 p.m. in the Aims Welcome Center parking lot. Learn more about our county fleet, including patrol cars, the mobile health unit, a Compressed Natural Gas snow plow, and more. 

Inside the Welcome Center, you'll find resources and information about county projects, and you'll get to see our replica fossil of Pops the Triceratops and learn more about this local "rock" star.

At 5:45 p.m., we'll ask attendees to take their seats in the auditorium for a presentation by the Weld County Board of Commissioners, who will share information about large-scale county projects today that will help build a stronger Weld County tomorrow.
