2026 marks three big milestones — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, 150th anniversary of Colorado's establishment, and 165th anniversary of Weld County's establishment. See information on each commemoration and how to get involved.

The Weld County Treasurer and Public Trustee’s Office will temporarily move from its current location at 1400 N. 17th Avenue, Greeley, to the building directly to the west located at 1402 N. 17th Avenue, Greeley.
“With the addition of Public Trustee staff to the Treasurer’s Office, a remodel of the office is necessary and welcome as it has been nearly 35 years since the original building was completed,” said Weld County Board of Commissioners Chair Steve Moreno. “A large conference room is also being constructed to serve as a training room available for use by all county departments.”
The Assessor’s Office, which is housed in the same building, will remain where it is. The Treasurer and Public Trustee’s Office is anticipated to move back to their original location in October.
