Weld and Larimer County co-host Regional Workforce Symposium

Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) and Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development have partnered together to present northern Colorado business leaders, employers, managers, and supervisors with a Workforce Symposium on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Aims Community College Welcome Center in Greeley.

This will be the first year the workforce symposium has been held in Weld County and the third year Larimer and Weld have teamed up to present this regional event.

"We are so thrilled to be hosting this event in Weld County for this first time," said Karina Amaya-Ragland, ESWC Workforce Director. "We appreciate the partnership with Larimer County and look forward to a successful event where those interested in workforce development can grow, learn and network."

The partnership also includes Aims Community College, City of Greeley Economic Health, Greeley Chamber of Commerce, City of Fort Collins Economic Health, Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Workforce Development Council. "Solving the Talent Equation: Engage + Empower = Retain” is the theme for a day full of brainstorming to solve the current puzzle facing employers today — attracting and retaining top talent.

At this year's event, attendees can expect different learning and networking opportunities focused on inspiring concepts and practical applications for businesses of every size. Workshops and seminars will primarily focus on human capital, management modernization, and business leadership development.

Event highlights include:

  • Keynote Speaker Lee-Wheeler-Berliner, Managing Director of the Colorado Workforce Development Council, speaking on the current state of Colorado’s workforce.
  • A panel of innovators dive into the fresh approaches they’ve taken to address big challenges – childcare, housing, and transportation.
  • Workshops on how to cultivate culture and shape the future of work.

Doors open to the event at 7:30 a.m. at Aims Community College's Welcome Center, located at 5401 W 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. Tickets are $49.
