A productive and positive meeting between the Weld County Board of Commissioners and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 8 Administrator Cyrus Western (and staff) was held this month, marking the first of several meetings the two entities hope to have this year.
Discussion during the meeting, included:
Western and his staff were receptive to Weld County’s concerns and agreed to assist where they could to further ensure those concerns were shared with the right people both at the state and the federal level; serving as a resource and as a valuable connection for the Weld County team.
“As long as the Colorado state legislature continues with its climate action mandates, which are negatively impacting Weld County businesses and communities, this board will continue to speak in support of our residents, businesses and local energy industries,” said Commissioner Chair Perry Buck.
