Redistricting map adopted
Published on August 06, 2025
During their Wednesday board meeting, Weld County Commissioners voted for a new redistricting map. The map, referred to as the Poudre Map, defines the boundary lines for commissioner districts in Weld County through 2032.
Earlier this spring, the commissioners appointed nine Weld County residents to the county’s redistricting advisory committee: three Republicans, three Democrats and thee Unaffiliated/Third Pary voters. The committee was charged with developing three district maps for consideration.
The advisory committee met seven times throughout May and June and held public listening sessions across the county to allow for robust public involvement. Following hours of meetings, the committee developed three maps – the Poudre, the South Platte, and the Thompson – which were presented to the redistricting commission on June 30.
The redistricting commission then held a total of five public hearings to garner input from residents on the proposed maps.
“We appreciate everyone who was involved in this process,” said Commissioner Chair Perry Buck. “I believe that through the hard work of our volunteer advisory committee and the input from many community members interested in this process, the county has a thoughtful map that will serve residents well.”

Thank you!
Many people were involved in the redistricting process over the past few months, from online commenters to meeting attendees. We appreciate everyone who took time to provide comment and input on these maps.
The county would especially like to thank the nine-member volunteer committee for their time, effort, thoughtful discussion and dedication to this process.
