Farm Show attendees walk around while looking at agriculture products, booths, and equipment

The 2025 Colorado Farm Show starts tomorrow, and Weld County Government is excited to participate in a variety of ways. The annual three-day event, held Tuesday, Jan. 28 to Thursday, Jan. 29, 2025, is a proud tradition in Weld County, showcasing approximately 350 agriculture-related exhibits and drawing more than 30,000 visitors.

The Weld County Extension Office will staff a booth in conjunction with the fair board and fair royalty court. Information about the Extension Office and fair will be available at the booth, and 4-H Club youth will be selling raffle tickets throughout the event.

Tina Booton, Weld County Weeds Supervisor, will also have a booth offering education on noxious weeds, including photos and seed samples and handouts with weed control recommendations. If residents would like to bring photos and descriptions of unidentified plants on their property, Booton can help identify the plants, provide control suggestions and set up meetings to look at the plants in person.

Weld County Office of Emergency Management Coordinator, Denise Bradshaw, will present on how small animal and small acreage farms can prepare for emergencies and provide resources available to these operations after a disaster strikes. This presentation is on Jan. 29, from 2 to 3 p.m. in Events Center Room C.

“The Colorado Farm Show has been a time-honored tradition in Weld County for the past 40 years,” Commissioner Chair Perry Buck said. “We’re excited to see Weld County Government participating at the event to highlight the services, resources and knowledge our departments offer.”

The county public information department will also have opportunities for Weld County residents to participate in a Housing Needs Assessment survey. A QR code linking residents to a short survey can be found at the Weeds booth or can be directly reached by this link: https://forms.office.com/r/CPjgs0vdfu.
