Tickets are on sale now for the 2025 Northern Colorado Workforce Symposium, an annual one-day event offering business owners, industry leaders, and community partners an opportunity to learn, connect, and explore practical strategies that strengthen Northern Colorado’s talent pipeline.

The Symposium, a regional partnership between Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) and Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development, will be held on Sept. 30, at The Ranch Events Center in Loveland from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker is Chalice Springfield from Unstoppable Curiosity, who will kick off the event with an inspiring session on how curiosity-driven leadership can transform workplace relationships and fuel innovation in today's fast-paced environment. The remainder of the day will be broken down into four sessions, with three concurrent presentations, panels, or workshops per session.

Session presenters and topics include:

  • Drew Grissom - "Registered Apprenticeship in Colorado" An overview of the Registered Apprenticeship model and how it can be used as a tool for workforce development.
  • Sarah Britton - "Beyond the Resume: Hiring for Grit, Growth, and Game-Changing Talent" Explore how to refine the hiring approach to focus on the intangible qualities that lead to long-term success.

Leading up to the Symposium and in celebration of Workforce Development Month, ESWC will be hosting a series of free, virtual lunch and learn events for businesses.

The series dates and topics are as follows:

Sept. 9: Elevating Your Business with Business Services
Sept. 16: Navigating Connecting Colorado
