The Weld County Building Department will host a stakeholder meeting regarding proposed updates to the Building Code on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Events Room at the Weld County Administration Building, located at 1150 O St. in Greeley.

During the meeting, Building Department staff will present the proposed 2024 Building Code adoption and associated amendments. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

The building codes are published every three years by the International Code Council. The 2024 codes are the most recent edition.

“Code updates can impact many areas of construction, and it’s important that the community stays informed,” said Chief Building Official Caleb Sulzen. “This meeting is an opportunity for us to walk through the proposed updates and make sure builders, contractors, property owners, and residents interested understand what’s being considered.”

The county invites all individuals and organizations with an interest in construction within Weld County to participate. This includes builders; general contractors; electricians; plumbers; HVAC professionals; property owners; and other stakeholders who may be impacted by code updates.
