County to host free health fairs focused on chronic disease prevention

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment will host three free health fairs across Weld County this spring and summer to help residents better understand their health and connect with resources that support chronic disease prevention and wellness.

The health fairs will offer a variety of free screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes (A1c), oxygen/pulse, loneliness screening, facial sun damage screening, InBody body composition, colorectal cancer screening kit, and blood lead testing for children. Health department staff and community partners will also be available to provide referrals and information about programs, services, and additional screenings that can help residents take proactive steps toward better health such as radon test kits (by mail) and Dementia resources.

“The Health Fairs are a simple way for residents to come out and learn more about their health and about the resources available in their community,” said Community Health Chronic Disease Prevention Manager Kelly Martinez. “Our goal is to help people get screened and connect them with support that can make a difference.”

The 2026 health fairs will be presented at the following dates and locations:

• Saturday, May 16 in Greeley, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at LINC Library Innovation Center, 501 8th Ave.
• Saturday, May 30 in Milliken, from 8 a.m. to noon at Milliken Athletic Complex, 320 Centennial Drive.
• Saturday, June 27in Ft. Lupton, from 8 a.m. to noon at Fort Lupton Recreation Center, 203 S. Harrison Ave.
