Volunteer opportunity open for Island Grove Park Advisory Board

Weld County Government is currently seeking a civic-minded resident to fill the Weld County Representative position on the Island Grove Park Advisory Board.
This volunteer opportunity allows members to help oversee the promotion, management, maintenance, and operation of Island Grove Park facilities, while making policy recommendations to the City of Greeley and Weld County on park use and long-range development planning.
Applicants are welcome from all backgrounds. Applicants must reside outside of Greeley city limits.
The Island Grove Park Advisory Board meets once a month, on the first Thursday of February, April, June, August, October, and December, at 4 p.m. at the Island Grove Park Events Center. Regular attendance and preparation for meetings are essential to ensure thoughtful and informed recommendations.
Other boards and commissions in need of volunteers include the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board, Board of Adjustment, Board of Public Health, Building Trades Advisory Committee, Extension Advisory Council, Human Services Advisory Commission, Juvenile Community Review Board, Noxious Weed Management Advisory Board, Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals, and Workforce Development Board.
