Area Agency on Aging invites feedback on older adult services

Weld County residents are invited to take part in Community Conversations this August and September to help shape future services for older adults. Feedback will help identify priorities for services like transportation, nutrition, caregiver support, in-home assistance, wellness programs, and other resources that help older adults remain independent.

Hosted by the Weld County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), these gatherings encourage open and relaxed dialogue about how AAA can best support older adults now and in the years ahead.

“Good planning starts with listening,” said Weld County Commissioner Chair Scott James. “These conversations give people a chance to share their ideas for how we can keep Weld County a great place to live as we age.”

Input collected during these events will guide AAA’s 2027–2031 Area Plan, the roadmap for how the agency supports older adults in staying healthy, independent, and connected.

Older adults in Weld County and anyone interested in supporting them are welcome to attend, including caregivers, family members, neighbors, or anyone who wants to strengthen their community.

“AAA is all about helping older adults stay healthy, independent, and connected in their homes and communities,” said Weld County Commissioner Perry Buck. “Hearing directly from residents is how we ensure these services stay strong for them and future generations.”

  • Tuesday, August 25, 10 a.m. – Broadview Apartments, 2915 W. 8th St., Greeley*
  • Wednesday, August 26, 10 a.m. – Hill N Park Senior Center, 4205 Yosemite Drive, Greeley*
  • Monday, August 31, 11 a.m. – Fort Lupton Community Center, 203 S. Harrison Ave., Fort Lupton*
  • Thursday, September 10, 1 p.m. – Erie Community Center, 450 Powers St., Erie*

Locations with an asterisk (*) will offer lunch before or after the discussion through the Friendly Fork Senior Lunch Program. Meals are free for people 60 and older; guests under 60 may join for a fee. Reservations are required by 11 a.m. the day prior.
