Weld County seeks applicants for Board of Public Health, others
Published on April 14, 2026
Weld County is seeking residents interested in serving their community through appointments to several boards and advisory committees, with immediate openings on the Board of Public Health and additional opportunities across multiple boards.
The county is currently prioritizing applications for the Board of Public Health, which has two open positions: One resident living within Advisory Board District 2 (serving school districts in Eaton, Galeton, Windsor, or Briggsdale), and one at-large resident living within Weld County.
The Board of Public Health plays a vital role in guiding public health policies and supporting the health and well-being of Weld County residents.
Weld County is also seeking one resident to serve on the Planning Commission, specifically an individual who lives within Advisory Board District 3 (Greeley/Evans School District west of 14th Avenue). The Planning Commission reviews land use proposals and makes recommendations that help guide responsible growth and development throughout the county.
In addition, Weld County is accepting applications for the Extension Advisory Council, which supports local Extension programs and community education efforts. Multiple positions are available for residents with experience in crop science, livestock, horticulture and/or Master Gardener programs, and 4-H youth programming.
Openings are also available on the following boards and commissions: Board of Adjustment, Human Services Advisory Commission, Juvenile Community Review Board, Noxious Weed Management Advisory Board, and Workforce Development Board.
Serving on a board or committee provides residents with an opportunity to contribute their expertise, represent their communities, and help shape decisions that impact Weld County.
