Young Adult Job Fair offers chance to connect with local employers
Published on February 25, 2026
The Weld County Workforce Center and the City of Greeley are teaming up once again to host the Young Adult Job Fair (YAJF) on Wednesday, March 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Island Grove Event Center, 501 N. 14th Ave., in Greeley.
The event has continued to grow in recent years, with nearly 800 job seekers attending in 2025. Designed specifically for youth and young adults ages 14 to 24, YAJF offers an opportunity to connect with local employers hiring for seasonal, part-time, and full-time positions. In addition to meeting with businesses, attendees will have access to valuable career resources, including resume assistance from employment professionals, free professional headshots, and a selection of work-appropriate clothing to help prepare for interviews and the workplace.
“This event is a great opportunity for job seekers to get face-to-face with local businesses that want to hire young, motivated talent,” said Shelby Hatfield, Weld County Youth Employment and Training Navigator. “We often hear from young adults that got their foot in the door after attending this job fair and now have summer jobs to return to every year, or a company that is investing in their long-term growth.”
Employers from a wide range of industries will be on-site, including health care, government, administration, building and construction, nonprofit organizations, and more. Businesses interested in participating are still being accepted. Businesses can register to host a booth at snapappointments.com/listing/5yd.
To save time at the event and maximize opportunities to meet employers, job seekers are encouraged to pre-register at ConnectingColorado.com. Connecting Colorado is a statewide platform designed to link job seekers with career opportunities and assist employers in finding skilled talent. Completing registration in advance ensures a faster check-in process and more time for networking.
“Young adults bring energy, adaptability, and fresh perspectives to the workplace,” said Carol Salter, Weld County Workforce Director. “Investing in young talent strengthens our local economy and helps build a dynamic workforce for the future.”
The Young Adult Job Fair is free to attend, and registration is not required for entry, though Connecting Colorado registration is strongly recommended. For additional information, visit www.weldgov.com/go/wcwc.
