  • May – Foster Awareness Month - Plan Breakfast (WFPC Foster Friendly Breakfast – 2nd Annual)
  • Watch Link - Possum Trot - Solving The Foster Care Crisis - First Look (youtube.com). (Possum Trot Movie about what one church accomplished. See below) This is a “Call to Arms” about what any local church can do about foster care.
  • Speaker A – Ray Martinez, Former Mayor of Ft. Collins. His story clearly demonstrates that success in any endeavor is not dependent upon their past, but what they put into their present position.
  • Speaker B – Commissioner Scott James (intro story – and intro of guest speaker).
  • Planning committee (sponsor for breakfast burritos; set-up of tables; location; invites, etc.).

6. What three churches are doing to help; Foster Friendly Update:

  • Carbon Valley Lutheran Church – Foster Care Parents Night out
  • New Horizons/Frontier Church – Foster Care Parents Dinner (local restaurant sponsored)
  • Highlight of what other churches are doing.
