Food Safety at Home
Learn how to keep your family safe from foodborne illnesses! Topics include how to properly clean various surfaces in your kitchen, how to prepare and cook food safely, how to prevent your food from getting contaminated, and how to properly save food for later consumption.
Food Safety Training for Colorado Cottage Foods Producers
Earn the food safety certificate required to get started and gain the knowledge and resources needed to successfully launch your home-based food business. Proof of attending an approved food safety training is also required to sell food at most Colorado farmers’ markets. Participants will learn about: basic food safety, what foods you can make and sell from home, ingredient labeling and disclaimer requirements, special considerations for food preparation at altitude, and resources for going further.
ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification – for Restaurant and Foodservice Managers
(Online Exam available in English, Spanish, Chinese; Print Exam available, in English, Spanish/English, Korean/English, Chinese/English, French Canadian/English, Japanese/English, and Large Print)
8-hour Training and 2-hour Exam (includes ServSafe® Manager textbook): $150
Exam Only: $38 (exam fee) + $30 (administration fee) = $68

State Food Safety™ Food Manager Certification– for Restaurant and Foodservice Managers

Cost of Exam: $28 (exam fee) + $50 (online proctor fee) + $30 (administration fee) = $108

Food Safety Works – for Restaurant and Foodservice Staff
2-hour Training Cost: $15
This training provides essential food safety information for your restaurant or foodservice staff. Topics include personal hygiene, foodborne illness, cross contamination, food temperatures, how to use a food thermometer, and cleaning and sanitizing.
