Air Quality Program
Facilitated through a contract with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, which provides authority and funding to enforce state air quality regulations, the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment's Air Quality Program conducts inspections of stationary sources of air pollution, actively responds to air quality complaints, and issues open burning permits in Weld County to protect public health and the natural environment.
Environmental Health Services also conducts outreach to the general public to increase awareness of the dangers of radon and to encourage testing of homes.
