Weld Regional Opioid Council

The Weld County Regional Opioid Council is tasked with determining how to spend $18.4 million in funds allocated to the county over the next 18 years from the Colorado Attorney General Office's participation in a national opioid settlement that yielded the state $912 million in opioid settlement dollars. Proceeds from the settlements include:

  • $32 million from Albertsons
  • $36 million from Allergan
  • $79 million from CVS
  • $313 million from Distributors
  • $5 million from Endo
  • $72 million from Johnson & Johnson
  • $70 million from Kroger
  • $5 million from Mallinckrodt
  • $10 million from McKinsey
  • $6 million from Publicis
  • $76 million from Purdue Pharma
  • $12 million from Secondary Manufacturers
  • $65 million from Teva
  • $86 million from Walgreens
  • $45 million from Walmart

The Weld County Regional Opioid Council will direct its funding at three key areas: opioid use prevention, treatment, and education.
