Since 2007, the Weld Community Health Survey has been conducted every three years by Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. In 2025, a geographically stratified random sample of about 20,000 households were contacted by mail to complete the survey either online or on paper. A total of 2,802 adult residents responded, resulting in a 15% response rate. The data were weighted by several demographic factors using U.S. Census Bureau estimates so that the results are generalizable to the entire county population. The Weld Community Health Survey helps public health officials, municipal governments, health care providers, and local nonprofit organizations better understand residents’ health needs and use that information to help shape services, programs, and policies. The survey covers a wide range of topics, including access to physical and mental health care, insurance, health conditions and behaviors, preventive screenings, environmental issues, community concerns, and health-related social and demographic factors. The 2025 survey also explored issues such as loneliness, social isolation, and housing costs.
