Medical Assistance
Health First Colorado is Colorado’s free or low-cost health insurance for people who qualify. It helps pay for doctor visits, emergency care, check-ups, shots, and other medical services. The program is paid for by both the state and federal government and is run by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
If someone needs medical help for a long time, the Case Management Agency makes it easier to get into programs. Trained care managers figure out what help is needed, make a care plan, and connect people and their families to helpful services in the community. These programs support people of all ages who need long-term care.
