Development Review

The Development Review Division is responsible for providing public information, support, and technical assistance to the Public, the Planning Commission, and the Board of County Commissioners. The Division works with applicants to process land use applications in accordance with the Weld County Code.

In addition, the Division manages the following:

  • Improvements Agreements
  • Planning Case Referrals
  • Traffic Impact Study Reviews
  • Drainage Report Reviews
  • Special Projects as requested by the Commissioners

Weld County has adopted the Weld County Engineering and Construction Criteria (WCECC)(PDF, 21MB) manual. This manual assists applicants with providing project criteria for land use projects. Surveying, roadway classification, roadway design criteria, drainage criteria, MS4 requirements, and many more topics are covered within the manual.
