CodeRED by Crisis24

Flashing lights on an ambulance.

You may know of CodeRED — the emergency notification system used by Weld County Government for years to send alerts to registered users about many different situations. In late 2025, CodeRED was acquired by Crisis24 and became CodeRED by Crisis24. What does this mean for you? Emergency alerts will continue, now delivered through an updated and enhanced platform.

Crisis24 represents that its new CodeRED is both reliable and protects data security.

To check and see what numbers alerts will come from, visit the CodeRED by Crisis24 FAQ page.

Weather

Weather alerts from the National Weather Service are a feature of the service. Users need to make sure they opt in to receive weather warnings. Warnings can be delivered via email, phone, or text message. Alerts will be related to flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and winter weather.

In addition to using CodeRED by Crisis24 for weather alerts, we encourage residents to purchase a weather radio and explore weather apps available from Front Range television, radio, and other media outlets.
