Pursuant to the Weld County Home Rule Charter, Ordinance Number 2026-04 was introduced on first reading on July 22, 2026, and a public hearing and second reading was held on August 10, 2026. A public hearing and final reading was completed on August 24, 2026, with changes being made as listed below, and on motion duly made and seconded, was adopted. The effective date of said Ordinance is listed below.

Changes Made to Code Ordinance #2026-04 on Final Reading
Amend Sec. 23-2-260. - Application requirements, to read as follows:
A. through D., no change.
E. Supporting Documents. The following supporting documents shall be submitted as part of the application:
1. through 7., no change. Insert 8. and 9.
8. An Emergency Action Plan approved by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) shall be required, unless waived by the OEM Director.
9. Such additional information as may be reasonably required by the Department of Planning Services, the Planning Commission, or the Board of County Commissioners in order to determine that the application meets the requirements of this Chapter.
