Two Weld County departments are switching offices in order to better facilitate the work of each, with another stage of the move scheduled for this Friday, July 28, 2017. This past June, the county’s GIS department (which also includes office space for the county’s web development team) moved from 1400 17th Ave. to 901 10th Ave. to make way for the Elections Department to move into the office space at 1400 17th Ave.—Elections is scheduled to make this move this Friday, July 28. GIS will remain at 901 10th Ave. until a remodel is completed of the previous Elections Office at 1401 N. 17th Ave.--once this remodel is complete, GIS will move to this location and complete the department office swap. In addition, the Elections Office will be designated a space in the Chase Building at 822 7th St. where elections will be conducted, specifically the processing of ballots. The move of Elections to the GIS offices is set to take place on Friday, July 28, 2017. The use of the space at the Chase Building is planned for the 2018 Election.
