The Weld County Board of Commissioners is proud to announce Brigitte Grimm as the new Weld County Treasurer and Public Trustee.
Grimm, who previously served as the Chief Deputy Treasurer and Public Trustee for Larimer County, was selected for the position following a nationwide search.
“Brigitte was the standout choice for this role as she has served the public in this capacity for several years with Larimer County and Adams County,” said Commissioner Chair Mike Freeman. “Her experience makes her the ideal person to lead Weld County’s Treasurer and Public Trustee’s Office.”
Grimm brings many years of financial and accounting experience and knowledge in the private and public sector with her as she has served two terms as Treasurer in Adams County before joining Larimer County in 2019. Grimm taught accounting at Front Range Community College for several years and has been a member of the COLOTRUST Board of Trustees since 2014 — a statutory trust for local governments to pool short-term investments. She has an MBA in accounting and finance as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Systems from Regis University.
Having interacted with Weld County in the past via her many positions, she is looking forward to her new role with Weld County.
“I’ve always seen Weld County as the driver of innovation — especially in the Treasurer’s Office — and appreciate that this office has become a resource for me in my career,” Grimm said. “It was an easy decision to join Weld County Government, and I’m thrilled to be part of this great organization.”
