Weld County is nearing completion of an update to its Comprehensive Plan. The plan will help guide county planning and decisions about growth and development in the years ahead.

Residents are invited to attend one of two open houses to learn more about the draft plan, talk with county staff, and ask questions. The open houses will be held:

  • Monday, Oct. 26, 4-6 p.m.
    Weld County Administration Building
    1150 O Street, Greeley
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27, 4-6 p.m.
    Fort Lupton Recreation Center
203 S. Harrison Avenue, Fort Lupton

“Our comprehensive plan provides an opportunity to look at where Weld County is today and thoughtfully consider where we want to go in the future,” said Commissioner Lynette Peppler. “We encourage residents to take a few minutes to review the draft and share their input as the county considers the plan.”

The draft plan will also be discussed at upcoming public meetings. Planning staff and the county’s consultant will present the latest draft to the Planning Commission during its regular meeting on Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m. The draft plan is then expected to go before the Board of County Commissioners for three readings on Nov. 30, Dec. 14 and Dec. 28.
