Responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and stability of children who may be at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. This partnership helps keep families together and works to prevent future separation or involvement.

Report Abuse:

All reports made to the Department are confidential including the name of the party who reports the alleged abuse or neglect. Colorado Law protects people from liability if they make a report in good faith.

The Colorado Child Protection Ombudsman is an independent office that helps make sure the child protection system works well for children and families across the state.

They listen to concerns from the public, look into those concerns, and help find solutions. We also work with lawmakers and professionals to improve laws and policies that affect children and families.
