Weld County is inviting residents, business owners and stakeholders to help shape the future of the community by participating in a public survey for the Weld County Comprehensive Plan update. The survey is now live and is a key part of gathering community input to guide growth, development and long-term planning across the county.

In addition to the online survey, Weld County will host several in-person public engagement opportunities throughout January, providing community members with multiple ways to learn more about the Comprehensive Plan and share their feedback directly with county staff.

Public engagement opportunities:

  • Thursday, Jan. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Black Sheep Coffee and Crepes (19 S Parish Ave., Johnstown)
  • Thursday, Jan. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. at WeldWerks Brewing Co. (508 8th Ave., Greeley)
  • Friday, Jan. 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at McCarty’s at Eaton Country Club (37661 County Road 39, Eaton)
  • Jan. 27 to 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Colorado Farm Show at Island Grove Regional Park, 4-H Building (421 N. 15th Ave., Greeley)

The Weld County Comprehensive Plan serves as a long-range guide for land use, transportation, economic development, housing, agriculture and quality of life. Public input is critical to ensuring the plan reflects the values, needs and priorities of those who live and work in Weld County.

Residents are encouraged to complete the survey and attend one of the engagement events to learn more about the planning process and contribute their ideas.
